Outdoor Storytime (Socially Distanced) In-Person

Soak up the last of the warm weather at our socially distanced outdoor storytime! Join Miss Angelina and Miss Melissa for a storytime that will take place on the front lawn of the Library. Please follow all our regulations so that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable time.

-All families must register for the program in advance. Please note the number of people attending when you register.

-Markers will be placed on the grass indicating where each family may sit so that we can maintain social distancing. Please bring your own picnic blanket or chairs. All family members must stay within their designated area for the duration of the storytime.

-Masks must be worn by all family members over the age of 2 for the entire program.

-Please do not bring food or drinks to the program.

Geared towards families with children up to age 8 - registration is required!

Miss Melissa is the Children's Librarian at the Woodward Memorial Library and enjoys working with patrons of all ages! She started at WML as a Library Assistant in July 2018, but has worked at a number of libraries in Genesee county since 2014. Miss Melissa received her Bachelor's in Child and Family Studies from SUNY Oneonta in 2013 and recently completed her Master's in Library Science at the University of Syracuse. At WML she leads library programs of all types, including storytimes, after-school programs, take-home kits, and adult crafts. She loves hearing your program ideas and making them a reality! 

 

Miss Melissa loves to read mysteries, romance, fantasy, and thrillers, and her favorite adult authors are Mary Kubica, Colleen Hoover, Jodi Picoult, and Christina Lauren. Her favorite children's authors are Todd Parr, Eric Carle, Lucy Cousins, and Lemony Snicket, while her favorite young adult authors are John Green and Maureen Johnson.
