Summer Reading Kick-Off!

Summer Reading Kick-Off! In-Person

Join us as we celebrate the beginning of our 7-week Summer Reading Program with this FREE event! Explore large vehicles of all types, and meet the people in our community who drive them at our Touch-a-Truck stations! There will also be a bounce house, space themed crafts, and ice cream sundaes (while supplies last)! Don’t forget to sign up for our Summer Reading Challenge and programs during this event! We can't wait to see you there! You DO NOT need to register!

Melissa Levins

Miss Melissa is the Children's Librarian at the Woodward Memorial Library and enjoys working with patrons of all ages! She started at WML as a Library Assistant in July 2018, but has worked at a number of libraries in Genesee county since 2014. Miss Melissa received her Bachelor's in Child and Family Studies from SUNY Oneonta in 2013 and recently completed her Master's in Library Science at the University of Syracuse. At WML she leads library programs of all types, including storytimes, after-school programs, take-home kits, and adult crafts. She loves hearing your program ideas and making them a reality! 

 

Miss Melissa loves to read mysteries, romance, fantasy, and thrillers, and her favorite adult authors are Mary Kubica, Colleen Hoover, Jodi Picoult, and Christina Lauren. Her favorite children's authors are Todd Parr, Eric Carle, Lucy Cousins, and Lemony Snicket, while her favorite young adult authors are John Green and Maureen Johnson.
