Parent and Me: Tie Dye Party

Parent and Me: Tie Dye Party In-Person

Drop-in during this time frame and we will show you the different tying techniques, then you'll choose from a variety of colors to dye your item! Participants (adults and children) must supply their own white t-shirt to dye. Each participant may only tie dye ONE item. Please dress for mess. This program will be held outdoors. Ages 2 - 17, with an adult. Registration is required.

Miss Melissa is the Children's Librarian at the Woodward Memorial Library and enjoys working with patrons of all ages! She started at WML as a Library Assistant in July 2018, but has worked at a number of libraries in Genesee county since 2014. Miss Melissa received her Bachelor's in Child and Family Studies from SUNY Oneonta in 2013 and completed her Master's in Library Science at the University of Syracuse in 2023. At WML she leads library programs of all types, including storytimes, after-school programs, take-home kits, and adult crafts. She loves hearing your program ideas and making them a reality! 

 

Miss Melissa loves to read mysteries, romance, fantasy, and thrillers, and her favorite adult authors are Mary Kubica, Emily Henry, Jodi Picoult, Sally Hepworth, and Christina Lauren. Her favorite children's authors are Todd Parr, Eric Carle, Lucy Cousins, and Lemony Snicket, while her favorite young adult authors are Sarah Dessen, Jennifer Niven, and Maureen Johnson.
