Storytime From Space In-Person
Every Thursday this summer, watch an astronaut read a story from the International Space Station! Then make a craft that goes along with the story. Geared towards ages 3-12 years old, but siblings of all ages are welcome to join. Registration is required!
STORY SCHEDULE:
August 15: Listen to "Astronaut Annie" by Suzanne Slade, read by astronaut Anne McClain. Then make a galaxy in a jar using baby oil, glitter, and food coloring.

Miss Melissa is the Children's Librarian at the Woodward Memorial Library and enjoys working with patrons of all ages! She started at WML as a Library Assistant in July 2018, but has worked at a number of libraries in Genesee county since 2014. Miss Melissa received her Bachelor's in Child and Family Studies from SUNY Oneonta in 2013 and recently completed her Master's in Library Science at the University of Syracuse. At WML she leads library programs of all types, including storytimes, after-school programs, take-home kits, and adult crafts. She loves hearing your program ideas and making them a reality!
Miss Melissa loves to read mysteries, romance, fantasy, and thrillers, and her favorite adult authors are Mary Kubica, Emily Henry, Jodi Picoult, Sally Hepworth, and Christina Lauren. Her favorite children's authors are Todd Parr, Eric Carle, Lucy Cousins, and Lemony Snicket, while her favorite young adult authors are John Green and Maureen Johnson.
