5th-7th Adventure Club

5th-7th Adventure Club In-Person

5th-7th graders join Miss Melissa every Thursday at 12:45 PM as we explore all types of adventures! We will have different activities based on the week’s theme, from crafts, to games, to science experiments! (All summer programs go by the grade that your child will be starting in the fall.) Please register for each week separately.

WEEKLY THEMES:

Thursday, August 1st: Outdoor Adventure - Special guest Laura Herold from the NIOGA Library System will be here to lead this program. Learn what makes an insect unique from other bugs and how to keep a field notebook! This is an outdoor program.

Thursday, August 8th: Sci-fi/Space Adventure - Make a marbled planet craft, then play a planet memory game!

Thursday, August 15th: Historical Adventure - Learn how to make butter, then try it on crackers! We’ll also be making rolled beeswax candles.

Please note: If your child is attending STEAM Club at the school, these programs have been scheduled so that they can come to the library right after. For your convenience, we will notify Mrs. Tran (school librarian) of which kids will be attending the library program. On the days of our programs a Library staff member will pick up these students at the Library's back door at the time of STEAM Club dismissal (12:30pm). Students may bring a snack to eat before the Library program begins.
